Reaper Compatible Midi Controller

I've been using a synth for a midi controller; however, it unfortunately stopped working last night. While it's getting repaired I'd like to get a reasonably cheap midi controller to use in the short term. Can anyone suggest something around $100-$150 that works well with Reaper? Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd go for the one that's closest to what you're used to. This isn't a flipant answer, but all modern OS's understand basic MIDI. So if you plug any MIDI keyboard into e.g a usb slot on a Windows machine, it will work (although maybe not with its full functions until you load the specific driver) With that price range you're not asking for an earth shattering machine, so go for the best. A search on Google and Ebay would be good places to start. Also I do recommend looking at M-Audio (personal choice only) Steve

Thanks Steve. It's the number of choices available that's making it hard to decide. I don't want to buy something that people have had bad experiences with or, for some reason, just don't work properly with Reaper! I'm planning on this being a temporary measure as I'm not sure how long it'll take to get my synth repaired. It looks like the options available at my local music store are Akai, Behringer, Korg, M-Audio, Yamaha, and Alesis. M-Audio has the most options so I'll have a look at them. Thanks for your advice!
