'less numbers' GUI option

hello! I want have option to switch off all or some numbers in GUI I always name and color all track and I not need rerial number, peak value on VU is not necessary if to use big master VU meter, not necessary always see gain and pan value cause we have inform window and float helpers. Uploaded with but I think inform window must be larger and maybe relocate it in up-left corner or made floating? mixer menu contain ONE point but eat so much place and all its option we have in header right click menu, it can be hidible Uploaded with

If you need extra minimalistic, try other low-cost DAWs. Reaper isn't even trying to be minimalistic, and most of us regular users appreciate that a lot. Track numbers are perfectly normal thing in all DAWs except FL Studio. It's just common sense to label a track with a number and a name. This shouldn't even be optional! Same goes for pan position and volume levels. Percentages and dB are important here, they are part of what music production is all about.

what bad if I have requesting options? I dont request add or change something, just some option checkboxes to manipulate some number\letter fields, other user who no need its will not suffer in any way.

I strongly agree with this! Like I have said before and will probably say many more times on this forum, anything that simplifies the GUI and makes for easier concentration on the music is a big plus. The fact that DAWs require huge, complex visual interfaces in order to function to the fullest is a serious trade off. I know I can't be the only one who closes their eyes or looks off in another direction when making adjustments; it is just an inescapable fact that the GUI drains mental resources; vision is the primary sense. Some of the things it has been suggested to remove here are some of the worst offenders in busying up the screen. Numbers and words are visually complex, and demand attention. People have spoken out against the volume and pan info displays before and for good reason. I rarely, if ever, use the information that they show, and I'm sure the same is true for many others; one can just look at the faders. It is not as precise, but that precision is not always needed. Having the option to get rid of these will by itself be a big step forward. The clip indicator display is also an enemy of mine, I don't need to know how much it clipped by or how high it peaked, just whether it peaked or not. I can tell if the level is appropriate or not most of the time by just looking at the meter. I never thought about getting rid of track numbers before but now that I do I realize I do not need them. An option to do away with them would be great. As ED said, all this info is useful. But it is not always useful or needed, and in situations where that information is not needed, there is much to be gained by switching it off. For the majority of the time that people have been recording music they have gotten by without all of these displays. I find it very strange that requests like this are not given higher priority here. +1.

You can get rid of the dB markings in the TCP and MCP. I was real happy when that option came along. The colour of the track number text is the same as that of the track name, so you may have a harder time if you make that a colour that blends in to the background. The good news is that you can have different colours for selected and unselected tracks. Personally I'd get rid of the track numbers at all times. Never needed them. There is a theme called "Upgrayedd" that is fairly minimalistic in its visual style. You may be able to get a look you find more useful right away.

I would not object to the option of removing numbers. the problem for me is that in some cases numbers exist and not in other... -tracks get numbers -folders do not this becomes confusing when using the matrix. I would prefer the option of setting all meters to K-12 / no numerical indicators other than peaks. .t
