Can't open .avs in CCE?

Alright, I'm trying to reencode Terminator 2 Judgement Day to fit on 1 DVD-5. I've already ripped the whole movie to the hard drive and ran all .vob files through DVD2AVI converter and then proceeded to conver the .d2v file to a readable file by CCE using VFAPI. Here is where I run into my problem After converting and adding the .avs suffix to the file, it still cannot be opened by CCE. One thing that I think could have caused some of this is that I did install QuickTime on my computer and now it wants to open any type of media file. Could that be causing it or is there something I'm doing wrong. I've been over the guides multiple times and I still end up right here.

When I asked about the *.avs file extension, I am aware that sometimes you can end up with a *.avs.txt extension type. Are you doubley sure about your's ?? I think you can ignore Quick Time as a possible problem. And as for being nice. I am !! You have given very little information, especially as it's your very first posting !! Ok.... *.ecl files are created by CCE (as are * vaf) It looks as if you have a file of the same name, but ending in "ecl" Double check your file naming convention. I use Nero. I know it's naff, but it tells it like it is. (Unlike Windows Explorer) When I use CCE, I right click on the centre of the screen, up pops the "add" icon, to which I then select the appropriate *.avs file. HOMER YOU SAVED ME!! I was trying to open the .avs by using the "open" selection from within CCE instead of right-clicking and selecting add. n00b mistake??:) Thanks again!
