PT + GIgaStudio in XP?

anyone tried to put them together in same system and PT be MIDI sequencer? I got MAudio DeltaAudiophile 2496 for Giga.

Well, ProTools really isn't that great of a sequencer as you may know.... it's designed for audio production. With that said, you need to have an audio interface that has dedicated GSIF drivers for Gigasampler.... Digi's stuff is not one of them. With that said, keep your ProTools setup independant of that from your Giga setup. For Giga, you really need to let it be by itself or you start getting into problems. Many will put in a Frontier Designs WaveCenter PCI card or a Hammerfall card and lightpipe over to their Digi001 or now the Digi002.

I've used the AP2496 under GSt 96 very successfully running Win ME. I asked a while back about XP and the few that tried it said the msg32 daemon that basically makes GSt run fails a lot under XP. I'd check the Tascam site very carefully. If you do make them work together under XP, you will almost definitely need a second audio drive for your GSt libraries. I do not suggest you try to stream GSt samples from the same drive that's trying to stream PTLE audio. Cheers, Mark

Done! PT and GS are working very well together! but I got problem on loading the Giga Piano, "Unable to allocate memory for downloading the instrument...." I have no problem on other samples.. do I need to add rams? now have 512 DDR with Athlon 1.4G.. my Memory usage is 6% with Mega Piano.. moonmusic : are you able to load the Giga Piano with 512mb ram?
