AutoTune 4 - ProTools 6.4 - Windows XP problems

I am having problems getting AutoTune4 demo installed on an XP running PT 6.4 - The install seems to run fine - but ProTools freezes at the point where it shows loading plug-in "AutoTune 4 ...dpm" Also the AutoTune 4 installer upon re-re-re-installing does not always show the dialog boxes that were shown on the initial install - for example the dialog info box about restarting the computer and the final prompt to restart. Any help would be appreciated. - THANKS!!!

Not sure it will help but there is a help file in your Program Files/Antares/AntaresRTAS/PACE.

go to and update your Pace drivers. Also make sure the Autotune.dpm is in Program Files-Common Files-Digidesign-DAE-Plug-ins

I have done this (3x) and I now believe this is a problem with either PACE or XP. I will need to dredge up all the details of how I have configured XP on my dual boot computer using NTFS instead of FAT32 - all that stuff and figure out why PACE won't allow ProTools to load any plug-in that requires PACE. So I'm getting closer - any knowledge about how to get XP and PACE to cooperate would be great! thanks

Did you ever at one time have another version of Auto Tune on your system?If you did and it timed out that might be causing you problems.

That may be the problem - but if that is the case what can I do to correct it? I've already updated the PACE files. Deleting and reinstalling does not help. I have now established that I can install and launch AutoTune3 - but not AutoTune4. But I can't buy AutoTune3 as it is a legacy product...

When I had Pace problems at one time with something, and I can't remember what.They sent me a list of things to do. I just dug out the hard copy I printed out at the time and it say's to search and delete all files with tpkd. in the name.As well as all registry keys with tpkd.Then run the Pace driver installer,then install the software. OF COURSE IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE YOU DELETE ANY KEYS
