recording with line 6 pod2.0

hey does anyone record with a pod 2.0, i have that and a behringer usb interface how do i connect it all up to work in reaper, when i click on asio in the audio tab it says no devices found but shouldnt my usb interface thing come up in there so i can select it from that?

I record with a Pod Pro 2.0. All you need to do is plug the audio output of the Pod to the audio input on your interface. I don't mean that to sound condescending, but that part of it is really that simple. As to why your Behri isn't showing up in your driver list, I'm not sure since I don't have tht interface. I might speculate that the Behri doesn't use ASIO drivers and maybe you have to select Direct Sound and see if it's avaailable there.

I chose the Zoom G7 for built-in USB audio interface (16/48) I had a VOX AD100VT and found its Line Out awful, but it was analog. Fiddled around with settings for a while , but eventually got thing smooth. 12ms latency. I believe going USB from the Zoom is tha AD conversion is on the guitar input, and processed digital and output digital via USB. I would recommend any guitar processor with USB out, and I'm sure Line 6 has one with USB. BOSS has chosen the SPDIF digital route, in recent GT series models. Same with Behringer V-AMP 2. Hi, I am new to Reaper but I have for the last two days since starting with it linked it to a POD XTlive (bit newer than a POD 2) but the principal is the same. I suspect that you can link both the Behringer and the POD to USBs at the same time (though I've not tried it). But to find the POD you need to use the "Options" menu, then "Preferences" and from the "Audio System" option you should select "ASIO". Once you have done that then select the "ASIO Driver" which will probably show as Line6 or POD or something. (make sure you've used Monkey to get the latest drivers for the POD first). After that its a case of selecting the inputs and outputs, I'd expect that they stay the same. This makes the POD your sound card for playback too as you cannot have input from the POD and output to a Wave device. I can't say for sure but don't think you can use both USB devices in Reaper at the same time. Hope you get it to work. I've been down a few holes but had a lot of fun then last couple of days. I would go direct from the output of the POD to the computer and skip the Behringer. Unless you can't connect the POD to your sound card directly.

I'm using the spdif ins/outs with my POD(XT PRO) HAd a problem using the ASIO with USB and went with the spdif. Never resolved it but oh well I'm happy, Good luck. Bardo

It was not actually clear if Haydenk87 had a Beringer USB IO card or whether it was another Audio interface probably the latter. I find the USB connection works well, BUT it does have issues of latency with if used for plugins, where a Tascam U122 or U144 doesn't. I can see you'd use SPDIF on the PRO but lesser mortals like me don't have that feature.. :) B.
