Cosmonaut Voice Running Out of CPU Power Problem

Hi all, I am a new user of ProTools LE. I have a MBOX with factory bundle for about two days now. So far I like the software. I have updated to the lastest 6.4cs9 (already mailed the 6.7 upgrade form). Anyway, I am running into this problem with the Cosmonaut Voice plugin. I imported a 1 minute stereo wav file into PTLE, then applied the Cosmonaut Voice plugin in the mixer window for that track. I played the track and it sounds good. Then I made some changes to the plugin parameters and play the track again I get the Running out of CPU power error (-9128) at the end of the track , that is, the track plays fine but once it reach the end of the audio the error window pops up. I removed the plugin and tried some other plugins and even stacked 4 of different plugins for that track, I did not get that error. So I applied the Cosmonaut Voice plugin again and it worked fine if I don't change any parameters, but if I do, it will give me the same error at the end of the track. I was able to recreate this error consistantly. I installed the newest version 4.2 of Cosmonaut Voice, and it still has this problem. I did search this forum but didn't find related topics. If any of you could try and confirm this would be great and hopefully it will be fixed by Digidesign. Thanks. I have exactly the same problem with this plug-in. Convenient little plug, but it needs to be fixed. Greg

I purchased the MBox bundle when it first came out in 2004. I have the same issue with Cosmonaut Voice also. Thru all of the PTLE 6.4xxx updates same issue with this plug. I stopped trying to use this plugin. I have PTLE 6.7 now, I 'll try it again tonight to see if there is any difference.

Try putting a dither in front of the cosmonaut pluggin. It sounds like the denomralization error that reverbs are known for. When audio gets to quiter volumes the pluggin must work harder with the limited number of bits in order to sound proper. Actually in this case the dither may not work. i am not quite sure what the cosmonaut plug does, but you may need to do some automation so that the pluggin doesnt have to work at very low audio levels.
