G\'day, help on making the move.

Gday all, I am a current 001 owner and I am looking to go for a control surface, after reading about motormix, sak and logic I dont believe that they would do the job and allow for my future progression perhaps to HD. My question is a preference really, I would love some feedback as all I have asked have been so helpfull and I am grateful. Is the C24 overkill for a 001, I do not use bulk plugs and have a bit of outboard gear. I rarely max out my cpu as I have a decent 733 with ample ram and fast drives, 3 in fact. Well the control24 is great, but maybe just upgrade to a digi002. I had a motormix and found it a little sloppy to use. In Oz you will be hard up to find a secondhand one, and it costs around the price of a HD1... I do not know? What about a secondhand Mackie Hui, I have seen a few go secondhand around Melb. Or probably the same one sold a few times..

How well will the c24 function with the 001? Will there be any functions the c24 has that will not be available using the 001? Also, what does the minimum setup require in terms of leads\chords?
