Errors - Play/Record from Transport and MIDI issue

Hey all, Somewhat new to the MBOX Pro 2 and Pro Tools. I'm having some issues with my transport and my MIDI. 1) I usually have to click play about 8 or 9 times for it to actually begin playing or recording. I dont understand it. Its like sometimes it will just start recording no prob, and other times i'll have to enable record and then click play and it doesnt work. Then re-enable record and click play...and do that quite a few times before it goes. It sounds like my external HD (connected via USB 2) is trying to run everytime I click play, but then fails to engage the recording or playing. 2) Click track/metronome - When I set a click track to 4/4 time and a specific bpm/tempo (like 80 or 120) the clicks that come through are all over the timescale. One measure will be ok...the next will skip a click or bunch them together, then regain the tempo, then lose it for 2 measures...etc. I'm starting at 1/1/000 (so there's no clicks starting in the middle of a measure). 3) When recording MIDI in non-destructive loops, what i'm playing from my MIDI controller isnt coming through exactly how i played it in PT LE 7.1.2. Its like it moves the hits and changes the velocity so that things are all out of time, even though I'm simply paying a high hat in 4/4 at a slow tempo. Am I not setting up my controller correctly? Is it missing samples from the controller through to the MBOX? My system is as follows: MBOX 2 PRO (w/Factory Bundles) Pro Tools LE for Win 7.1.2 Dell Latitude D820 Win XP Professional SP 2 Dual Core Pentiums T2500 @ 2.5 Ghz 1 GB RAM 80GB System Drive 250 GB Maxtor 6 7200rpm USB 2 External Drive 82801G Intel USB Universal HostController OHCI Complian IEEE 1394 Host Controller 1394 Net Adapter MIDI controller - Roland RS-9 64 Voice Synth SampleTank Plugin I appreciate any help anyone can give. I read up on setting the Roland up as the MIDI controller in the Setup Menu, as well as looking through the latest Pro Tools 7.0 reference guide for MIDI/playback help, but I've found nothing. 1) USB drives are not supported. If you need to use an external drive, you need to use a qualified firewire drive with the oxford 911 chipset and a supported firewire interface (if possible) 2) You need to do the windows dual core hotfix. 3) you need to do the windows dual core hotfix.

i have the same problem with play back my midi issue is bfd and strike pugins get midid drop out help help
