GM MIDI Renders Silence (SOLVED)

I can record the output of my soundcard pretty easily, so I can render it for you, but I'm not sure if its right. I sounds kinda random...

Using the you can record the windows GM synth in REAPER (if you don't bother with the crappy sounds of that GM thingy...).

I have previously turned my back on Reaper because I couldnt figure out some things (including GM playback)I have just been tinkering with it again and discovered that if you load your midi file, the click the io tab on each track it opens "Routing for track x". On the right hand side of the routing box if you click the drop-down box under Midi Hardware output (as shown below by stratman all you need to do is select Microsoft GS wavetable synth and you will hear GM without having to inset a vst instrument.You have to do this for every midi track in your arrangement(havent found quick way for this)Reaper also plays the midi at the correct tempo if the info is available.Alot of softseqs dont do this. Hope this works for you
