EL gauges (any interest?)

i'm going to be installing 3 gauges into my car (in a single din panel) under the stereo when i eventually get around to finishing off the stereo install.. i went for 3 Autogauges in the end: similar style to this one: I think they should look pretty good - the only issue i have is that i like everything to match (look stock) and they won't match the rest of the factory dials as they are green - so i went looking for some custom EL dials - in my MR2 I had some Speedhut dials which were very good (custom made and imported from the states).. but Speedhut don't do any dials for the Volvo's - in fact in all my searching i never found one company that does (at present).. I have found a contact in Europe though who can make me a set of dials (custom to my spec i.e. design and colours etc) here's a few pics of his work on other models to give you an idea of what's available: I'm in very early discussions with him at the minute - but wondered if there would be any interest in these? or if anyone else has managed to track down a supplier of aftermarket dials?

what 3 measurements will you be taking? Where will you be taking them, and what car are you putting them into? I take it you will going you white or amber? I've got a 98 V70 T5 and have been thinking of getting gauges in the slot above the stereo. Was thinking of oil pressure, oil temp and battery voltage (maybe something else other than battery voltage - perhaps boost but then I run stock so what's the point!?!). I did start on a project to monitor the ECU over the OBDII connector but once I found out you can't monitor in real time using the ISO spec I gave up. I'd love to put in a light blue EL LCD display in the slot and monitor a bunch of things but not with my ECU alas. Cheers, Al
