Where are the editing tools in reaper?

There are some parts of a recording that I want to remove ie: the first few bars before the music begins. Where do I find the edit tool so that I can highlight an area and press my keyboards delete button to get rid of it?

Hullo. Easiest initial way is splitting: Position the cursor with the mouse and press S. Also, there are actions relating to the time selection. There's some good stuff in the on editing (and lots of other good stuff - which is not to say you shouldn't ask here ;)

Cool thanx, I'm just more used to being able to click on an edit button that allows you to select an area and then just press delete.

For a marquee delete hold right mouse and alt drag across the area then press delete. :)
