SpruceUp "Invalid sampling rate..."

Well I have had this problem some times and do not really know what to do. At the moment I have a fully compressed WAV-file, made in VirtualDub: 192 kb 32khz. I converted it with Besweet to a 192 48khz Mp2 to make it fit SpruceUp. But SpruceUp complains "Invalid sample rate...." Is there a way to completely convert a WAV so that any remaining figures from the original get washed out? I have tried Headac3he and AVI2wave also, but the problem still remains. There is no problem though to load the Mpeg2 video stream. I think I read somewhere about this some time ago, but I cannot remember where. It was about an app completely washing out all remainings from the original file. Thanks for clues on this matter.

if you are making a NTSC DVD, you cant use m2a audio, and im not too sure if spruceup supports m2a audio anyway. (quick thought is to change the audio file to a m2a extension rather than mp2, mainly cause mp2 acutally means a mpeg-2 program stream). other thing to try is convert to an ac3. Enf...

Well, I finally found out that if you rip the audio from the AVI with VirtualDub and save it as a WAV then converting to MP2/MPA with BeSweet it will work with SpruceUp. If you let VirtualDub make a fully compressed WAV (PCM) it will not. Do not ask me why. But there must be an explanation somewhere down the road.... ;-)
