But wouldnt it be more clicks adjusting the sends from all the children every time you adjust the volume of a folder track?

as long as i don't automate the folders then my child sends are post fader and i can automate the child tracks and the sends follow. it's trying to automate parent folders that doesn't work for me because child sends remain unchanged.
